Referrals and Assessments

Do you have concerns about your child's:

  • Hearing
  • Moving
  • Talking
  • Play
  • Learning
  • Behavior
  • Or has your child had a medical diagnosis that affects development?

Some babies and young children need extra help to learn and grow and we can provide that help. A referral to early intervention services can be made through:

Amy Whinnery
ECSE Intake Coordinator for SoWashCo Schools
651-435-1182

Following a referral, your child may be assessed to determine if they are eligible and in need of special education services. Assessment staff may include: an ECSE Teacher, Speech/Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Nurse, and/or a School Psychologist.
