Parents and Guardians: Join a SoWashCo Schools Strategic Planning Session on June 7

Help guide South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) plan for the future. Every few years, SoWashCo Schools creates a strategic plan that serves as a roadmap for work to be done over the next 3-5 years. SoWashCo Schools is working with an outside organization, TeamWorks International, to engage representative groups in the early stages of this work.

Parent and guardian voice is a valuable part of the process to help SoWashCo Schools develop the best strategic plan possible. While participation is currently limited, once we have a draft plan to share, we will provide multiple opportunities for broad student, staff and family feedback.

The virtual parent and guardian strategic planning session will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7. Families can complete an interest form for the session at this link. There is a limit of 60 participants for this session. Parents and guardians who have been selected for the planning session will be notified via email by Thursday, June 2.

Our meeting facilitators will guide parents and guardians to answer the following question:

  • If my child were having the best experience possible on a daily basis in SoWashCo Schools, it would look and feel like this: ______________

Sessions will last up to 90 minutes. You do not need to do any preparation before or homework after the session.

I am very excited about the work ahead and hope you’ll lend your voice to this important early phase of the strategic planning work. If you have any questions, please contact Dayna Pottratz at dpottrat@sowashco.org

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Julie Nielsen
